Enable Technicians are based in Hamilton, Palmerston North and Christchurch.
The service administers the provision, maintenance and modification of wheelchairs and other disability equipment for people who meet the Ministry of Health criteria. Disabled people, their families, therapists and related agencies can access this service.
Enable Technicians will:
The service administers the provision, maintenance and modification of wheelchairs and other disability equipment for people who meet the Ministry of Health criteria. Disabled people, their families, therapists and related agencies can access this service.
Enable Technicians will:
- Supply wheelchairs following a recommendation from a Specialised Wheelchair Assessor
- Modify wheelchairs following a referral from a Specialised Wheelchair Assessor
- Complete repairs and maintenance (of wheelchairs issued from Enable New Zealand).
There are subcontractors based in most areas to provide repair and maintenance services.
