Wheelchair and Seating Outreach Service
Enable New Zealand
Enable New Zealand’s Wheelchair and Seating Outreach service is a resource for disabled people and their wheelchair and seating EMS assessors. Through the Outreach service we provide easy access to wheelchair and seating products and support. The service offers:
- Disabled people a coordinated and speedier service for trial of wheelchair and seating options.
- Outreach appointments at a wheelchair accessible venue.
- Coordination of requested product from multiple suppliers.
- Access to information on possible alternative product.
- Technician support.
- Advice and support from a coordinator who is a highly skilled Wheelchair and Seating Assessor.
- Support from wheelchair and seating suppliers.
- Easy access to recycled equipment and components for trial.
- Support with funding applications.
- Pressure mapping assessment tools to assist in choice of cushions and backs.
- Access to specialised seating system technical support.
Using the Outreach Service adds value in the following ways:
- Reduction in EMS Assessor time.
