Gold Standard at Enable New Zealand

Having an accessible community for everyone is what the team at Be.Accessible and Enable New Zealand are passionate about.

Enable New Zealand was assessed by Be.Accessible and received an overall gold rating. The assessment rated the organisation on accessibility for people with: vision impairment, deaf or hearing impairment, mobility impairment, parents with children with impairments, and learning and intellectual impairment. Mobility received a platinum rating, with all other areas receiving gold.

Enable New Zealand is an operating division of MidCentral District Health Board that delivers a range of services for older people and disabled people. These services are contracted by the Ministry of Health, ACC and district health boards south of Auckland. Enable New Zealand is the largest provider of equipment and housing modification services for the health and disability sector in New Zealand.

Be. Accessible is a New Zealand social change initiative and a holistic framework for accessibility with a mission to create a truly accessible country for us all.
