Working at Enable


Nau mai, haere mai! You’re looking at joining an organisation which has been supporting disabled people and their whanau since 1974. We’re also a young organisation, as we’ve only been Enable New Zealand in our current form since July 2022, when we became a subsidiary of Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand.

We're a group of people committed to representing themselves and Enable NZ well, but who also like to have a lot of fun in their work. 

Every year our team of 203 are busy supporting or directly managing over 100,000 requests for services.  

Enable New Zealand is made up of four groups who work towards us achieve our vision for a non-disabling Aotearoa. 

  • Office of the CEO is led by Scott Ambridge, Chief Executive. It includes Governance and Assurance.

  • Operations team is led by Jane Wenman. It's the largest at Enable and includes our Warehouses and logistics; Equipment, Housing and Modification services; Health, Safety & Wellbeing; Payroll; Clinical Advisory services, Finance, Procurement and Contracts, and Strategy.

  • Technology team is led by Blair Magnusson and includes Information Technology, Business Analysis, and Projects.

  • Experience (X&E) team is led by Shane Andrews and includes our Contact Centre, Communications and Marketing, Business Development, Pou Tikanga, Change Management; Organisational Development and our Easie Living Store.

  • Customer Service Facilitators

    Our Customer Service Facilitators support the processing of applications for equipment, modifications or other services to ensure our clients get what they need to live their lives.

  • Clinical Service Advisors

    Our Clinical Services Advisors support occupational therapists and physiotherapists in providing the most appropriate solutions for their clients.

  • Warehouse roles

    Our warehouse teams manage the distribution, collection and repair of the disability equipment we provide to clients.

  • Housing Advisors

    Our Housing Advisors work with therapists and contractors to ensure home modifications suit the needs of our clients and meet government funding criteria.

  • IT professionals

    As a cloud-based organisation, our IT team is vital to ensuring our services run smoothly
