How collection works

This page has a summary of what will happen after an equipment collection is requested through Enable New Zealand.

We work with a shipping company called Fliways to collect equipment across New Zealand.

Fliways staff are trained on disassembling items if required. The customer does not need to disassemble anything, or wrap or package the equipment in any way.

  1. 1

    Collection requested

The customer, therapist, or whānau request collection of equipment.

This can be done by either filling out our webform or calling us on 0800 362 253. Our friendly Contact Centre Team are available Monday through to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.

  2. 2

    Request processed

Our Contact Centre team will process the request, usually within two working days.

  3. 3

    Request confirmed

If an email address is provided for the customer, they will receive an email with the tracking number and phone number for Fliways.

  4. 4

    Pickup day organised

Fliways will try to contact the customer to arrange a day and time to collect the equipment that fits in with their drivers' schedule. If they can’t reach them, we may have to rebook the collection.

  5. 5

    Notice on pickup day

On the day of collection, Fliways will try to contact the customer again to give some notice before they arrive.

  6. 6

    Equipment collected

The Fliway driver will arrive to collect the equipment.

They will usually have list of what equipment to collect, but it's helpful if someone is there who knows what equipment is being collected and where it is.

The customer does not need to disassemble anything, or wrap or package the equipment in any way.

  7. Finished!
