Hearing credits and refunds


Information for hearing services providers requesting a hearing subsidy or funding credit or where an incorrect payment has been received.

Application incorrect and credit required

Where a credit is required because an application has been entered incorrectly.

Please email the following information to email hearing@enable.co.nz with ‘Hearing Credit Request’ in the subject line:

  • Application reference number

  • Customer name

  • Customer NHI number

  • Purchase order number

  • Reason why the application needs to be credited.

Error in application and subsidy or funding remains

Where an error has been made in the application for hearing aid funding or subsidy. Send an email to hearing@enable.co.nz and a member of our hearing team will be able to assist you with your error.

Overpayment or underpayment received

Please email the following information to hearing@enable.co.nz with ‘Incorrect hearing payment’ in the subject line:

  • Application reference number

  • Customer name

  • Customer NHI number

  • Purchase order number

  • Details of the incorrect payment.

We will adjust the customer record.
