What accreditations can I gain?

The accreditation modules you can complete depend on your qualifications or role. Some accreditations only require your employer or supervisor's approval. Other accreditations might require more, such as online modules, short courses or case studies.

Use the links below to find out if you're eligible and what you need to do to get started.

  • Personal Care & Household Management

    OTs, speech therapists and some physios can apply to be personal care and household management equipment assessors.

  • Walking and Standing

    Physiotherapists and some occupational therapists can apply to be an assessor for walking and standing equipment.

  • Housing (Basic)

    Occupational therapists can apply to be an assessor for basic housing modifications.

  • Vision (Spectacles)

    Ophthalmologists and optometrists can apply to be vision assessors for the children’s spectacle subsidy.

  • Vision Assistive Technology

    Occupational therapists, optometrists and service coordinators can apply to be vision assistive technology assessors.

  • Hearing Aids

    Audiologists and audiometrists can apply to be hearing aid assessors. Find out how.

  • Communication Assistive Technology

    OTs and speech language therapists can train to assess people for communication assistive technology.

  • Hearing Assistive Technology

    Hearing therapists, service coordinators and audiologists can train to assess people for hearing equipment (excluding hearing aids).

  • Housing Modifications (Complex)

    Specialist training for occupational therapists in complex housing modifications.

  • Vehicle Purchase & Modifications

    OTs with 2 years' physical rehab experience can train as an assessor for vehicle purchases and modifications.

  • Wheeled Mobility & Postural Management

    OTs and physios can train to be assessors for wheelchairs and seating and postural management equipment.

  • TWO service accreditation
