Assistive Technology for Disabled People – Early Provision of Power Wheelchairs to Disabled People with Progressive Conditions

Mobility for Life is a research project that gives up to 100 people a power wheelchair earlier than they might usually get one. It's run together by Enable New Zealand and Disability Support Services – Ministry of Social Development (DSS).

Researchers will talk with the people who get the wheelchairs, their whānau and carers, and the staff involved, to understand what difference the wheelchair makes over time.

A photo of a person in a power wheelchair is displayed inside an icon of a wing. The text next to it reads: Mobility for Life research project.
