Managing Pressure Injuries in Clients with Spinal Cord Injury: Clinical Insights for ACC Assessors

This presentation will explore the opportunities and challenges faced by Assessors when working with spinal cord injured clients, who are also experiencing a pressure injury. It will utilise the ICF model to frame the assessment information gathered and guide the Assessor to address the referral query. It will also take a wider look at how the client’s recovery is being managed. This will ensure that the complexities of this client group are understood, and suitable support is in place for optimal healing.
