Show Your Ability 2026
Thank you to everyone who engaged with Enable New Zealand at the Show Your Ability expos held across Aotearoa in March and April. Enable NZ representatives included staff from Operations, Experience & Engagement, Housing, Clinical Advisory Services, and Firstport.
Across the five events, our team had more than 1,000 conversations and were able to provide direct support and advice to a wide range of people. We also requested assessors complete a survey on the Enable NZ trials process and received more than 160 responses.
Why did we ask assessors to complete this survey?
Enable NZ is currently reviewing the end-to-end trials process. We want to support:
Optimal client experiences when trialling any equipment
Easy to use processes for assessors to update Enable NZ systems around trial outcomes
Timely trial completions for suppliers
What are we planning to do with these results?
The results have been collated and are currently being analysed and considered by Enable NZ, alongside other data and feedback from suppliers, as we look to make improvements in the trial space for all involved.
How will this impact assessors?
No impact at this stage. Trial approvals will continue to be sent out in a timely manner and arrangement of trials continues to be a process that is led by the assessor.
We do ask that you update your trial outcome status as soon as you are aware of the outcome. Any changes that may be identified to occur in the trial space will be communicated in due course.
We sincerely thank you for taking the time to fill in our survey, we really appreciated the engagement levels around this. Assessor consultation is an essential part in future decision making around trials.
