That assessment would come in, we would then engage an architect to attend site and then

They would come back to the Housing Advisors who would then review those plans and say "Yes, we agree"

That's along with our Professional Advisors who do the clinical side, so the injury or disability side, they would review that

Our day would consist of responding to queries, reviewing plans, querying plans

However it's glasses, if it's hearing aids, if it's housing modifications which is what I work in,

Our warehouses are a hugely important part of the Enable New Zealand service

We have warehouses in Hamilton, Palmerston North and in Christchurch

In our warehouses we store equipment that we refurbish and reissue to Ministry of Health clients

And we have a wheelchair team who deal with the power wheelchairs and manual wheelchairs specifically

The equipment team, when a truck arrives

The items we receive off the truck generally are from clients who

When a truck comes in, some equipment needs to be cleaned, so they'll deal with that

We use a Hub Scrub machine, which uses ultra violet light to clean all the equipment to a high standard

Any equipment that can't be cleaned by the Hub Scrub machine

the team manually clean that using various chemicals to make sure there are no germs, bacteria on it

After the equipment's been cleaned, we stock adjust it into a location in our warehouse

so that it can be found later on when we want to reissue it to a client

We reissue about 30 percent of the equipment we supply to clients

One of the benefits of reissuing the equipment

is that we save the Ministry of Health approximately 10 million dollars a year

and it also reduces the amount of equipment that we send for recycling or that goes straight to the landfill

Another team we have at the warehouse are the wheelchair and seating technicians

We use a specialist team for the wheelchairs because of the seating that's involved with that process
