Return DSS or ACC funded equipment that is no longer needed
Many clients don't realise their equipment was provided by Enable New Zealand or that it should be returned when it's no longer needed.
When equipment is returned, it's checked for safety, refurbished, and reissued to someone else. This can save up to 70% of the cost of buying new, which means that more people can be supported using the resources available.
If your clients have equipment that they are no longer using, you can share Enable New Zealand’s collection form and/or phone number; or submit a request on their behalf - it's free and takes about a minute.
For DSS assessors, please provide the ‘Care and Use of Equipment form’ to remind clients of this process.
